Amanda Powell

Amanda has been singing and dancing since the age of 4 and began performing in professional Pantomimes and shows from the age of 10.  She went on to study Performing Arts at The Italia Conti Academy of Dance and Theatre Arts in London, where she received various Diploma’s and qualification’s in Dance, Drama, Choreography and Singing.

Amanda has continued to perform in Pantomimes, plays and Musical Theatre productions throughout the country over the years, enjoying many roles such as Anne in Anne Frank, Geraldine in The Vicar of Dibley, Mother Abbess in The Sound of Music and Nickie in Sweet Charity.  She has also Directed and Choreographed many adult and Youth Pantomimes, plays and Musical Theatre productions in London & Essex as well as running many youth drama workshops.

She is the founder (along with Sarah) of the Harmonettes and loves working with her two friends and Graham, their pianist on new material for the harmony trio.
Amanda’s musical influences include Idina Menzel, Julie Andrews, Gene Kelly, Bob Fosse and Sarah Brightman.
